Broadway Goes Green in 2009!

Clear2Go™ and Broadway fans, set your DVRs to CBS on Sunday, June 7, to see the Tony Awards go green. Clear2Go™ has donated 500 custom Broadway Green Alliance (BGA) Clear2Go™ water bottles with filter in support of an effort by the Tony Awards and BGA to reduce the environmental impact of this year’s awards event.

With this first-ever “greening” of the Tony Awards comes an eco-conscious overhaul of all the usual big-time awards show fundamentals. In addition to stuffing the gift bags with green goodies like our Clear2Go™ bottle with filter, BGA and the Tony Awards have rolled out a “green” red carpet made of 100% recycled material, and the presenters and performers will arrive in hybrid vehicles. Even the electricity consumed by the telecast of the show will be offset by wind-power renewable energy certificates.
